Our Practice
Goffstown Animal Hospital was established by Dr. Matthew Lewis in 1977 and has undergone changes and improvements throughout the years in keeping with the many ongoing advancements in veterinary medicine. We focus on providing the highest quality medical and surgical services for your companion animals.
The veterinarians and staff at Goffstown Animal Hospital are committed to providing quality veterinary care throughout the life of your dog, cat or pocket pet. We understand the special role your pet plays in your family and are dedicated to becoming your partner in your pet's health care.
Our History
Goffstown Animal Hospital is located on property that was purchased in December of 1976. For three years, the veterinary practice was located in the basement of the building on the corner of Roosevelt Street and Mast Road while Dr. Lewis, with the help of family members, was remodeling the current building.
The current facility had been a hardware store and a dry wall company before our extensive remodeling. There have been two additions to the animal hospital since that time.
The practice was a single vet practice until 1983 when other veterinarians joined the staff. There are now about 18 people working at Goffstown Animal Hospital including both full and part-time employees.
Our Mission
Our goal is to provide top-quality veterinary care for pets while providing as many treatment options as possible for clients through thoughtful, preventive medicine and education. Our intent is to provide compassionate council as each client experiences the joys of sharing life with a beloved pet.
