He attended Gettysburg College, Northeastern University, University of Bridgeport and Boston University from which he received his bachelor's degree Magna Cum Laude. He is a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He went to The Ohio State University where he received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. Dr. Lewis has been practicing in this state since he started this hospital in 1977. He enjoys surgery and unusual medical cases. He has been active in church and public affairs having done volunteer work for many groups including Science Enrichment Encounters, Greater Manchester Youth Symphony and Greater Manchester Community Music School, Greater Manchester Medical Resrve Corps, Goffstown CERT, and many public and private schools in the area. With his friend Allen J. Tucker, DVM, he is cofounder of the Animal Emergency Clinic of Southern New Hampshire formed in 1993 (now called Veterinary Emergency Center) to provide expert after hours care for our patients. He is married and has five children, two sons in law, five and 3/4 grandsons, five dogs, six cats, and four horses. Besides those 28 3/4 all important hobbies, he also enjoys music, art and being outdoors.

Dr. Janet E. Mack VMD
Janet E. Mack, VMD was born in Hartford and raised in Windsor, Connecticut. She graduated from Quinipiac University and from Thomas Jefferson University's top rated ultrasound program. She worked in the human ultrasound field for several years, before finally achieving her life long goal of entering The University of Pennsylvania College of Veterinary Medicine where, while earning her Doctor of Veterinary degree, she was instrumental in the introduction of the use of ultrasound at that institution. Since graduation from U Penn she has worked in Connecticut, New Jersey, Vermont and New Hampshire performing ultrasound services including echocardiograms, ultrasound guided biopsy, aspirations, etc. Dr. Mack is married and has five children, five dogs, six cats, and four horses (similar to Dr. Lewis!). Her non-work hours are spent with her family, riding horses, running, swimming, or doing needlepoint. Everyone loves Dr. Mack, with good reason.
Dr. Lori Baldwin (Perkins) VMD
Dr. Lori Baldwin was born and raised in Pennsylvania. She is a graduate of Juniata College in Huntington, Pennsylvania with a degree in biology. She then attended The University of Pennsylvania where she received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. Dr. Baldwin has been in continuous small animal practice since graduation. Her knowledge of internal medicine in all animals is outstanding but she is truly gifted in the canine and feline species in particular. Dr. Baldwin is married and has two children and some interesting cats. When not working she is reading, camping, skiing, hiking or just plain being outside. Her skill, thorough follow up and dedication will be as obvious to you as her happy attitude and easy smile. We know you will love her like we do, and we do we do.
Dr. Steven F. DeKavis DVM
Dr. Steven F. DeKavis was born and raised in north central Massachusetts, however he has spend a great deal of his free time in New Hampshire his entire life. He is a graduate of Cornell University and got his DVM from an excellent University in Italy and then did further work at the internship program at the famous Animal Medical Center in New York City. After that he has worked in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. He loves nature and the outdoors so he has spent many a day and night exploring the mountains and back woods of our granite state. He has had many adventures on the trails both here and in such amazing places as Africa and many of the countries in Central and South America. Ask him about Bulgaria. He "gets by" with language knowledge in Spanish, Italian and Portugese. Those of you who speak French should try him out and see what he can do! Dr. Dekavis comes to us after spending over a year trying to do what a veterinarian can do to try to help the rain forest disasters in South America. He is an experienced talented Veterinarian and his kind gentle way is bound to show through.
Dr. E. Turner Lewis DVM
Dr. E. Turner Lewis was born in Boston, Massachusetts, but like his brother Dr. Matt, he has spent time in New Hampshire his whole life. Dr. E.T. Lewis graduated from Kalamazoo College then went on to Michigan State University where he received his DVM degree. Since graduation he has been continuously practicing veterinary medicine near Boston, with most of the years at his own practice. He is married with two children and four grandchildren. This Dr. Lewis has been very active in the Sled Dog area of our field and is currently an officer in the American Association of Sled Dog Veterinarians. He has been an attending veterinarian at the Iditerod Race something like 17 times(as recently as 2012) and also working many of the other races countless times. Dr. E.T. Lewis is now retired from his own practice but fills in with us when a Doctor here is on vacation. When he is not working here or out on the snow, this Dr. Lewis is with his wonderful wife of 45 years, Kay, enjoying Bluegrass festivals, Kalamazoo College Board of Trustees activities, Rotary Club activities, watching sports or enjoying the outside world.
GAH Techs

Karen  was born in Nashua but has lived most of her life and was educated in Manchester. She has two grown children, Aimee now of Springfield, MA and Jonathan of Plymouth, NH. Karen is an excellent cook and quilter as well as an excellent technician. She loves her dogs and cats, reading, hiking and gratefully from all of us laughing. We can't live without Karen.

Maura  has been with us since 1996. She was born in Manchester and has always lived in the area. She has five grown children so now shares her house with three dogs and many cats. Maura loves quilting, reading, music, dancing, theater, and outdoor activities. She is a self-professed obsessive gardener, but the truth is she is incredibly knowledgeable in the field. Her caring and concern for animals and people, if not already apparent to you, will be obvious the more you see her. She is married to our long time friend and painter, Ron Pichette.

Nancy  was born in Brooklyn, New York but moved to New Hampshire 32 years ago. She has been a technician for many many years. She is married, has 2 grown children and two growing grandsons, 3 dogs, 2 cats, 1 guinea pig, and fish. Nancy enjoys working her Australian Shepherds in agility trials, Halloween, hiking, camping, and quilting. We really enjoy Nancy!!

Donna  is missed greatly after working with us for 8 memorable years.

Manon  was born and raised in Manchester. She is a graduate of the prevet program at the University of New Hampshire and is considering a career in veterinary medicine. She has one dog, two brothers and one sister. She has traveled the East Coast of the US and enjoys cheerleading, participating in civil war enactments, and bargain hunting. Who wouldn't reduce the price on something to do business with someone as fun as Manon.

Angela   was born in Massachusetts but has lived in New Hampshire for her whole life. She has extensive experience in the animal field from which she has made her living for many years. Most of her experience has been with horses and cats. Angela likes to snow board and of course ride horses. She is a welcome addition to our full time staff with her beautiful smile and her happy, dedicated-to-animals spirit. Angela is now the happy mother of a baby girl, Hazel, born in April, 2010. She now has a baby boy named Gunner, born in February 2012, to keep make her even busier.

Pauline   who worked here for many years keeping the place shiny and clean has now retired. We miss her like we still miss Bette who did that work before Pauline. We wish them both all the best in their retirement.

Holli   is also a local hero being born and raised in the area. We are proud to inform you that Holli is now a practicing veterinarian who many of you will remember worked with us starting in her high school years.

Andrea   graduated from Nashua high school and continued her education at the University of New Hampshire. At UNH she majored in zoology and minored in psychology with a concentration in animal behavior. This gives us another great resource for information on animal behavior issues, and it may help Andrea understand the group of us "animals" she is now working with. Good luck on that one. She has a wonderful way with animals and people and I'm sure her husband agrees with that one. We know you will agree.

Talia   is now a graduate of an excellent veterinary technician program, a certified technician and, we are excited to tell you, a member of our full time staff. She is a very intelligent and wonderful person, and her addition to our permanent staff means more fun for clients, animals, and fellow workers. We have known Talia and her family for many years as clients and are happy to have her now working with us as a technician.

Tanya   is a graduate of the University of Maine with her bachelor's degree which means winters around here are relatively mild for her. She has had the full complement of science courses which will show up as her great knowledge base in our practice. We all love her new Rottie, but not as much as she does. She has a contagious laugh which keeps all of us seeing the happy side of all our animal adventures. I dare you to keep a straight face if Manon and Tanya are in the same room.

Jessica   is a graduate of West High who is extremely bright and who has been one of the fastest learners we have ever had at the Hospital. She loves both dogs and cats and works with us on a part time basis at this time.

Jessica N. (Josie)   is a student at Conval High School. She, as Dr. Mack's daughter, has been around the practice for years and is now showing what she has learned. She has always spent a great deal of time with animals and you wil notice her abilities in that area. She is an excellent student, talented writer and artist and plays on the varsity girls basketball team at Conval in addition to soccer and other interests

Sarah N   is also Dr. Mack's daughter. She is only here occasionally as she is a preveterinary student at The University of New Hampshire. Like her younger sister she is an excellent student. Sarah is an excellent artist and runner. She is an accomplished horseback rider especially in saddleseat equitation, but growing up with horses, dogs, cats, and Drs. Mack and Lewis has given her a broad knowledge of all animals in general. It is a treat when we get to have her here.

Connor and Alex  are the latest in a long line of students that are working with us to gain knowledge working with animals and, of course, people. They are both very bright and talented and we are sure you will enjoy them like we do.
